My mind parasite
This is my webpage about the piece of media that permanently altered my brain chemistry and now makes up roughly 55.3% of my personality!
I had to dedicate a whole page to it because it just means so much to me. I don't know how to explain it, but something about it just clings to me. Even when I am not actively obsessing over it, I'll hear the whispers of "Corn is no place for a mighty warrior linger in the back of my mind. Its something that always makes me happy and the anual modern day toon is probably one of the few things keeping me alive on this planet.
So what is it?
Without completely regurtating wikipedia at you like a mama bird with her chicks, I'll try to keep it short and sweet:
It is a flash-animated series from the early 2000s known primarily for having a fun interactive website as well as loveable weird characters
In the fictional town/state/whatever of Free Country, USA- there are a lot of weird looking creatures that aren't quite animals, but aren't quite people either. There's Homestar Runner, who is a terrific athlete! He's a loveable idiot who is always saying nonsensical things. Then theres Strong Bad (and his other siblings, Strong Sad, Strong Mad, as well as his partner in crime/pet(?) The Cheat!) who first played an antagonistic role, but softened up over the years. He has a "Straight man" contrast against homestar and most of the other residents of Free Country, who are strange in their own way. The series is made up of various "shorts" that occasionally references other toons, but theres no required watch order. Theres also plenty of other material such as the spin off "Strong Bad Emails" (SBemail for short) where he used to respond to user submitted emails in a comedic way. Then theres the SPIN OFF of the spin off including but not limited to: Teen Girl Squad, Stinko-man, and Sweet Cuppin Cakes.
I really cannot do the series justice, though. Despite flash being long gone, the original website is still preserved (albiet with a few kinks- Ruffel is a miracle but it can only do so much)
Unlike a lot of online flash cartoons from that era, it isn't overtly offensive (at least it doesn't go out of its way TO be any of those things for shock value), nor is it super kiddie either. It strikes a decent balance between the two that is really hard to find anywhere else.
If anything I said interested you at all, please check out the website and just start clicking on stuff! They have TOONS, GAMES, CHARACTERS, DOWNLOADS, STORE, and Eeeee-maaiiiilll
