Batty Blog

December 13th, 2025

I've looked at several blogging options for NeoCities and I decided it was just easier to rawdog it as much as possible- so sorry if this method is a little crude. Maybe I'll switch up to using the various services that exist- but for now this will simply have to do. <.p>

I probably won't be blogging every single day ever anyway- just whenever something "interesting" happens. I might do some light venting here too, but I'll try to restrain from deeply serious subjects. In the event that I do, however, I'll be sure to put massive warnings in the biggest font physically possible before and after the post so you can quickly scroll by. Thank you for taking the time to read this- I have no idea what I'm doing, but I've actually been enjoying the journy so far. I hope as I get more comfortable with HTML, this website will grow and change.

I hate my dad, man. Theres a number of reasons why I do, but if I were get into all of that, we'll be here all day.

I mainly hate how much of a dick he is- like in general. He enjoys snapping at me and certain other people for absolutely no reason (because he's bad at a video game sometimes, skill issue old man), and then he'll act all confused when you are no longer in the mood to speak to him? Its odd. I hope that starting next year, I can finally move out- somehow. I'll do anything at this point to get enough money for an apartment at minimum. I just need to get away from him

Christmas came a little early for me this year!

I got to hang out with some friends- and since we weren't able to see each others during the holidays, we opted to do our planned gift exhange a few days early. The benefits of casually being friends with a lawyer is that- while they aren't billionaires or anything, they still have fun money to throw around, so my friend went all out. I couldn't afford equally as many or as expensive of gifts, so I leaned towards more heartfelt (and budget friendly) gifts for them. I say it went well and we were all very happy.

I got some snacks, a plushie heating pad, a squishmallow thing (god why were they so soft? it should be illegal), a horror book (Penpal hehe), and a new shower curtain which was something I desperately needed for a while now. I doubt I would get anything else on Christmas this year, so I was blown away by the sheer amount I got from this one exchange. Even when it feels like the whole world is against you, some people are just really good at making sure that you feel loved.

A little late, but happy new year! Took some time off for the holidays and tending to the sinus infection that decided to greet me on the first morning of the year. Nothing too crazy happened, aside from going to my Grandparents for our annual New Years Eve Party- which isn't much of a party in the traditional sense- but its a nice time to eat food, drink, and- most importantly...gamble.

We play a game called LCR, which is a game involving 3 dice. Each side has 3 dots, a red C, an R, and an L. You place down three quarters (or dollars, or whatever you're playing with) and each corrolate to the number of die you roll. You sit with other people, either in a circle or row, and each person takes turns rolling their dice. If you roll an L or R, you have to pass one of your quarters to your left or right side. If you roll a C, you have to place a quarter in the "pot", and the goal is to basically be the last person with at least one quarter left. You win all the quarters that were disgarded in the pot. It is WAY more engaging than I'm making it sound. One round, it was just me and one of my aunts, and we both kept rolling dots for way too long. I end up winning that round despite trying to throw so it could end already.

In other news, I started writing my horror story! Its one of my resolutions to start writing more this year, and if I don't immedietly give up..I may or may not have at least one book self-published by the end of the year.
